Candle care

By taking good care of your candles, they burn longer, more beautiful and safer. Below you can read how best to do this.

While burning

Burning for the first time

  • Place your candle on a saucer, so that when a candle leaks, the wax is collected,

  • Trim the wick to just over 1/2 inch,

  • Make sure there are no drafts, this can cause the candle to burn faster or unevenly,

  • Let your candle burn for at least 1 hour to have a complete melt pool,

  • We recommend that you do not burn the candle for more than 3 hours at a time.

For your safety

  • Never leave a candle unattended or lit while sleeping,

  • Never move a lit candle,

  • Never burn a candle completely, but extinguish the flame when there is still a 0.5 cm wax in it,

  • When burning several candles at the same time, place them at least 8 cm apart so that they do not melt next to each other,

  • Extinguish a candle when it flickers strongly or when the flame is too high. Let the wick cool, trim it and light the candle again,

  • Never light a candle next to flammable items, such as furniture, curtains, rugs, books, papers, flammable decorations, flowers, etc.,

  • Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
